Panel Discussion | The Work LGBT Communities of Color are Doing in Albany


A panel discussion on the work LGBT communities of color are doing in Albany will be held at Albany City Hall on May 31 at 5:00 PM. Free and open to the public.

The event, held in collaboration with In Our Own Voices, Inc. and the Pride Center of the Capital Region, will include three panelists who will discuss issues regarding LGBT Communities of Color:

Job Fair


The Palace Theatre will host a job fair on June 2 from Noon - 4:00 PM for various job openings at the Palace Theatre and Cohoes Music Hall.

Positions available include Full Time openings in Operations and Facility Management, Part Time Box Office Staff, Concession Staff, Security & Event Volunteers. Applicants should provide an up to date resume, credentials (for applicable positions such as security) and should be prepared to meet with representatives of the Palace Theatre for interviews as needed.

Cornhole Tournament


The Hollow Bar + Kitchen will host a Founders Brewing Cornhole Tournament on June 9 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM.

Just in time for the summer, the event includes a giveaway of a shiny red hard top Founders cooler + the winners will receive free tickets to The Hollow's Founders Beer Pairing Dinner this December! Jazz vocalist and violinist Teresa Broadwell cooks up a repertoire chocked full of standards, swing, and bebop with her quintet.

Erin Harpe and the Delta Swingers


Erin Harpe and the Delta Swingers will perform on June 22 at Noon as part of the Made in the Shade of The Egg series. Free and open to the public.

Charismatic singer and guitarist Erin Harpe’s music is rooted in vintage 1930’s Mississippi blues, then shaken and stirred with other genres like soul, funk, and reggae and backed by the Delta Swingers.

Upstate Rubdown


Upstate Rubdown will perform on June 15 at Noon as part of the Made in the Shade of The Egg series. Free and open to the public.

Borrowing from every corner and decade of America’s musical heritage, Upstate Rubdown features the harmonies of three female lead singers with an eclectic instrumental mix of saxophone, strings and percussion.
