Exciting Bites Camera Action update: based on Governor Cuomo's June 15 announcement and updated New York State COVID-19 safety guidance, pre-registration requirements have been removed for Bites Camera Action. We recommend signing up for the event through Eventbrite in order to receive updates via email, but walk-ins will now be permitted and there will be no assigned pod seating. Seating will be on a first-come first-served basis and attendance based on lawn capacity.
The Downtown Albany Business Improvement District (BID) and the State University of New York (SUNY) are proud to present the return of the Bites Camera Action free outdoor summer movie series, kicking off June 18 and running for six consecutive Friday evenings through July 23. This year’s series will take place on the lawn at the H. Carl McCall State University of New York Administration Building, the iconic former D&H Railroad Headquarters building at 353 Broadway (Broadway and State Street) in downtown Albany.
Join us on July 16 for a special screening of the classic 1992 film A League of Their Own. Seating for the event will open at 7:30, with the movie beginning at dusk or approximately 8:30 PM.
Announcements regarding event postponements due to inclement weather will be made here, via the Downtown Albany BID social media channels, as well as on downtownalbany.org/bca. Sign up via Eventbrite and you will also receive an email update if the event is being postponed.
Bites are available from a wide variety of nearby restaurants. Visit www.downtownalbany.org/supportdowntown for restaurant information.
Free parking is available at the Green-Hudson Garage, the Riverfront Garage, or on the street after 5:00 PM. Visit www.parkalbany.com for more information.
Ground rules: Alcoholic beverages, glass containers, and dogs or animals (excluding certified service or therapy animals) are not permitted at the event. Please do not attend the event if you have tested positive or display any symptoms of COVID-19, or if you have been in close contact with anyone that has tested positive in the past 14 days. Attendees will be required to provide contact information for contact tracing purposes, and social distancing and mask rules will be in effect in compliance with current New York State safety guidelines.
Bites Camera Action is presented by the Downtown Albany BID and SUNY, in partnership with the City of Albany, Christ's Church Albany, the Palace Theatre, and ParkAlbany.
