Back for 2023 by popular demand, join Historic Albany Foundation and Discover Albany as they resurrect "The Dark Side of Downtown," a guided walking tour delving into the stories behind the buildings you see every day in the downtown area of Albany, peeling back the layers of history to discover tales of historic true crime, local lore, conspiracy, and mysteries embedded in the streets of Albany.

Follow in the footsteps of the infamous Silent Stalker, and uncover the stories previously told only in lost newspapers and hushed whispers. Unearth the Dark Side of this city, including the assassination attempt of Albany’s Halloween Queen and the best spectator’s view of the notorious Gallows Hill.

Along the way, tours will stop at a pub (location TBA). 5:30 PM tour is the Oct-sober tour and will not have a pub stop.

Booking is essential - each tour has a maximum of 20 attendees. Tours last for 90 minutes.
