Albany Center Gallery hosts Letters with Gato on Saturday, August 12 at 11:00 AM-3:00 PM.

LETTERS WITH GATO is a workshop focused on Graff: the art of graffiti and lettering. Learn the history behind Graff and where it began, and create your own style of lettering! Use chiseled markers or brushes to write your name & express yourself with words or messages while creating unique works of art!

About GATO (Oddy Gato): Originally from the Bronx, GATO has been creating Graff since he was young. Early on, he became notorious for graffiti in the Bronx, which eventually led him to the Albany area. He deeply appreciates how this form of art is a tool for getting messages across and expressing your emotions.

All youth between the ages of 13-18 are invited to attend. The workshops are free, and there is limited space in order to foster a proactive learning environment. Registration is REQUIRED. No prior knowledge or experience in the arts nor topic of specific workshops is necessary. Please include a valid email with registration, as we will be reaching out to you for sharing logistics and waiver details.
