Downtown Albany

Discover Albany and Nippertown are partnering to bring you the FREAKIEST First Friday this October! We’re kicking off the newly resurrected All Hallow E’en month long Festival! There will be plenty of eerie events happening in our Downtown neighborhood.

On Friday, October 6, from 5:00-7:30 PM, Nippertown’s Hoppin’ Howl-ween has called forth an array of talented musicians to lead you through Albany Center Gallery’s All Hallow Ee’n Art Path. Musicians TJ Foster, Alice Sorensen, Reese Fulmer, Kendra McKinley, and Ryan Leddick will be performing for free outside downtown businesses, to the delight of our mischievous spirits.

Albany Center Gallery curated dynamic FALL-bany inspired window displays. Explore Downtown Albany along the All Hallow E'en Art Path to see enchanting public art and support your local neighboring businesses. Photos and friends encouraged!

Capital Repertory Theatre has done a special summoning to bring forth a few of their famous spirits featured in the City Séance historic ghost tour. If you can find them, they may treat you to a small free preview of what you can expect from the full tour.

Historic Albany Foundation’s infamous Dark Side of Downtown Tour will be leaving from McGeary’s Irish Pub at 6 pm. The Dark Side of Downtown is a guided walking tour delving into the stories behind the buildings you see every day in the downtown area of Albany, peeling back the layers of history to discover tales of historic true crime, local lore, conspiracy, and mysteries embedded in the streets of Albany. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.historic-albany.org/tour.
