Downtown Albany

About

Calling all Albany residents, workers, and visitors! Bring your friends, family, co-workers, or just yourself, and join us for a day of cleaning and beautifying downtown Albany's parks, sidewalks, streets, and public spaces this spring. The Downtown Albany BID and the City of Albany Department of General Services (DGS) invite you to join us on Saturday, April 20 from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM for an Earth Day Cleanup.

The BID and DGS will provide cleanup supplies including garbage bags, lawn bags, gloves, trash pickers, brooms, rakes, and shovels in two drop locations for volunteers to use.

All supplies and collected trash & debris must be returned to the original drop locations by 1:00 PM, for pickup by DGS.

In the event of rain, the Earth Day Cleanup will be held on the following Saturday, April 27.

Registration

To help us prepare, we ask that all volunteers register in advance here or at the registration link above. All registered volunteers will receive a FREE Great Albany Clean Up T-Shirt courtesy of the City of Albany DGS, and complimentary food and beverages donated by Coulson's News & Deli.

Walk-up volunteers are always welcome, but we can only guarantee enough free t-shirts, refreshments, and cleanup supplies for those who register in advance.

T-Shirts

All registered guests are encouraged to wear their FREE Great Albany Clean Up t-shirts, which will be available at each drop location during the event. However, participating companies and organizations are also welcome to don their own branded t-shirts to show their group's dedication to keeping Albany clean!
