Free Summer Events Added to Clinton Market Collective Lineup

The Downtown Albany Business Improvement District (BID), in partnership with Capitalize Albany Corporation, is pleased to announce a full lineup of free summer programming at Clinton Market Collective. Following the return of Beats & Eats earlier this month, the season continues with weekly events celebrating food, music, wellness, and community in the heart of Albany.

Located at 11 Clinton Avenue, Clinton Market Collective offers residents, workers, and visitors a welcoming place to gather while exploring downtown Albany and supporting local businesses.

Mondays: Beats & Eats

Beats & Eats continues every Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM through September 28, excluding Labor Day (September 7). Each week, a local food vendor takes over the on-site shipping container or sets up a food truck, serving up casual fare and sweet treats, while award-winning DJ Trumastr and other guest DJs provide the soundtrack for a fun summer evening. Guests are invited to enjoy great food, lawn games, and a relaxed outdoor atmosphere in Downtown.

Beats & Eats is supported by The Dishing.

First Fridays

In partnership with First Friday Albany, Clinton Market Collective will host free outdoor concerts from 7:00 PM-9:00 PM on August 7 and September 4, featuring performances by local and regional musicians. The first concert will feature New York City-based alternative metal band reaLation with special guest Marty McDermott. These evenings celebrate Downtown's vibrant arts and music scene while offering another opportunity for the community to gather outdoors in the heart of Albany.

First Friday at Clinton Market Collective is brought to you in part by a grant from the Music Performance Trust Fund, arranged by Albany Musician’s Association Local 14 of the American Federation of Musicians.

Live Score Movie Nights

Clinton Market Collective will once again host Live Score Movie Nights from 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM on Friday, August 14 & 28, presented by the Downtown Albany BID in association with  Bee Side Cassettes and Derick Noetzel Media Productions, pairing classic adventure films with live musical performances for a one-of-a-kind outdoor cinema experience. The first event will feature a showing of "The Dark Crystal" (1982) with a live score by Improv Spaces ft. apostrophebeats. The next event will showcase Disney's "Fantasia" (1940) with a live score by They Are Gutting A Body Of Water ft. apostrophebeats. While picnic tables are available at Clinton Market, guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. Concession-style snacks and beverages will be available for purchase on site.

Live Score Movie Nights is supported by Renaissance Hotel and ParkAlbany.

Wednesdays: Grounded Grooves

Grounded Grooves returns every Wednesday from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Beginning September 2 through October 28, this free community yoga series, founded by certified instructor Nikki B. Rogers, welcomes participants of all experience levels. DJ Hollyw8d will provide live music throughout each session. Guests are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat and water.

"Clinton Market Collective has quickly become a gathering place for the community, and we're excited to continue to bring free programming to the space this summer," said Georgette Steffens, Downtown Albany BID Executive Director. "Whether you're joining us for dinner on a Monday, yoga on a Wednesday, or a concert or movie night, these events are an opportunity to experience downtown Albany, connect with neighbors, and support local businesses."

"The flexibility of the space and what you can bring to life here is what makes Clinton Market such a special outdoor venue," said Capitalize Albany president Ashley Mohl. "It’s exciting to see the rhythm and activity on site building into the summer and through fall with this dynamic lineup of programming. This year, fan favorites are returning after their success last year along with new experiences."

All events are free and open to the public. Additional free community events will be announced for Clinton Market Collective this fall and winter. For more information, please visit www.clintonmarketalbany.com or follow downtown Albany on Instagram or Facebook.
