Volunteers sought for Downtown Earth Day Cleanups

Volunteers are being sought for the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District's Earth Day Cleanups taking place Saturday, April 22, 2022. We'll start at the Olde English Downtown Dog Park (N Pearl Street and Clinton Avenue) from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, and move to the African American Cultural Center of the Capital Region (135 S. Pearl Street) from 12:00 - 2:00 PM. Rakes, shovels, gloves, and leaf and garbage bags will be provided thanks to the City of Albany's Department of General Services. Sandwiches and beverages will be provided to volunteers by Coulson's News & Deli, courtesy of the Albany Ismaili Youth Club.

Join us and help tidy up the Downtown neighborhood while getting to know your neighbors in the process. To help ensure adequate supplies are on-hand, volunteers are encouraged to sign up in advance via Eventbrite, however registration is not required.

Free on-street parking is available in downtown Albany all day on weekends. Please refer to the on-street signage for exact meter enforcement times and parking regulations.
